This weekend the moon was incredibly bright. I woke up at 2 in the morning and went outside, it was cold, I'd even say extremely cold, and because of the bright light of the moon I wasn't able to see neither anything on the streets nor even the hands on my clock. And more to it, all this was accompanied with rarely clear and starry sky. I couldn’t help it, put on some warm clothes, grabbed my cell phone and binoculars and started calling my best friend. She was surprised to hear from me at this hour, but got the point as soon as I described her what woke me up (she is a little bit nuts about astronomy too). While talking to her I was scrutinizing the sky and constellation through my father's
hunting binoculars. I've never seen so many stars in my life, even the tiniest dots were seen on the sky. Our galaxy – Milky Way resembled a huge white fogginess extending through the sky. People say that you can extremely (endlessly) long time look at running water and blazing fire. I'd add to this list the fathomless full of stars sky. When you stand before all this magnificence, there is a feeling that you are in the open space. I’d love to see (even with one eye) what the spacemen see when they are working in the outer space. You can endlessly stand looking at the sky and think about what is exactly behind it and if there is anything there… I wonder if a human being is ever to understand (comprehend) this universe…
